Whistler Zipline Tours

For most people, the Whistler zipline to book is Ziptrek’s Eagle tour, from $134 per person on GetYourGuide and rated 4.9 from 478 reviews. You ride five ziplines and cross four treetop bridges high above the valley between Whistler and Blackcomb, and the last line lands you back in Whistler Village. Choose Superfly for bigger, faster lines on Cougar Mountain, Ziptrek’s Bear tour for a gentler course with younger children, and the evening tour for zipping under lights in winter.

Whistler zipline tours compared

Two companies run ziplines in Whistler. Ziptrek Ecotours has been there since 2002 and runs five tours on 11 lines. Superfly Ziplines, run by The Adventure Group, has four long lines on Cougar Mountain. Prices are USD per person as listed in September 2026.

Ziptrek also sells its Bear and Eagle tours on Viator as one listing, from $122 and rated 4.9 from 1,560 reviews. That is a little less than the Eagle on GetYourGuide ($134) and a little more than the Bear ($119), so check the GetYourGuide price and the Viator price for your tour and date before you pay.

Ziptrek or Superfly

Ziptrek’s courses run through old-growth rainforest over Fitzsimmons Creek, the white-water creek between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. You meet at the base of Whistler Mountain in the village, the lines are shorter and more numerous, and treetop bridges and forest walks fill the gaps between them. Superfly is about size and speed. Its four lines stretch between Cougar and Rainbow mountains, about 10 minutes north of the village, with a free shuttle from the Gateway Bus Loop. The longest is over 1.3 km, the lines run up to 200 m above the valley floor, and you reach up to 90 km/h, riding side by side with a companion. After the zipping you can stay at base camp for axe throwing, a nature trail and lawn games. Superfly calls its big line the longest year-round zipline in North America. Its GetYourGuide listing ($134) has only three reviews so far, all five stars.

Eagle, Bear, Sasquatch or the evening tour

The Eagle is Ziptrek’s all-round tour. Its launch point sits at about 1,000 m (3,280 ft) on Whistler Mountain, and five lines, the longest 2,400 ft, bring you down to the village across the Fitzsimmons Valley. Tandem lines let two people ride together.

The Bear is the gentler choice. A short shuttle takes you into the valley between the two mountains, where a suspension bridge leads past “Big Doug”, the oldest Douglas fir on the site, before four lines of 400 to 1,100 ft. Children under 65 lb can ride tandem with a guide, and you can try going upside down. Our Bear tour breakdown has more.

The Sasquatch is the long one. At more than 2 km, it crosses from Blackcomb to Whistler over 600 ft above the ground at well over 100 km/h, and Ziptrek calls it the longest zipline in Canada and the USA. It runs only in summer (13 June to 20 September in 2026), riders must be 10 or older, and it is booked directly with Ziptrek.

The evening tour runs from November to the end of April as Ziptrek’s Winter Après tour: four lines and four treetop bridges lit with twinkle lights as dusk falls, with headlamps and a shuttle from the village included. Age and weight limits

Every tour here starts at age 6, apart from the Sasquatch at 10. At Ziptrek, anyone under 15 must zip with a guardian. The Eagle takes riders from 75 to 275 lb (34 to 125 kg), and the Bear and the evening tour from 65 to 275 lb (29 to 125 kg).

Superfly’s limits are tighter at the top: 60 to 250 lb (27 to 113 kg). Children 6 to 12 need a paying adult aged 19 or over, with one adult for up to five children. Ages 13 to 15 need an adult chaperone, and from 16 you can ride alone. If anyone in your group is near a limit, give accurate weights when you book.

Ziplining in winter and in the rain

Both companies zip in winter. Superfly runs on its winter schedule from 9 November 2026 to 15 April 2027, and Ziptrek lists the Eagle as year-round, with the evening Winter Après tour added from November. Rain does not stop the tours, since they operate in all weather. If Ziptrek does cancel for poor weather, its Viator listing offers another date or a full refund, and GetYourGuide bookings can be cancelled free up to 24 hours before.

How fast, how high, and is it safe?

The fastest lines are Superfly’s, at up to 90 km/h, and the Sasquatch, at well over 100 km/h in summer. The highest are Superfly’s, up to 200 m above the valley, and the Sasquatch, over 600 ft. The Eagle and Bear stay closer to the forest.

Every tour is guided, and on Ziptrek’s courses the guides handle the safety system on each line. Follow the briefing, wear closed-toe shoes, and stay within the published age and weight limits.
