Vancouver: Whistler Olympic Park Evening Snowshoeing/Skiing

About This Experience
This evening trip takes you from Vancouver to Whistler Olympic Park, the Callaghan Valley venue that hosted events at the 2010 Winter Olympics, for a few hours on its snow trails. You meet your driver-guide at the Canada Place Welcome Centre and travel in a minibus or van, with at most 14 people, over the Lions Gate Bridge and up the Sea-to-Sky Highway beside Howe Sound, about 1 hour 45 minutes each way.
At the park you have about 2 hours 45 minutes on the trail network. You choose between snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or simply walking around to take in the scene. Park admission, a snowshoe or cross-country ski rental, and a headlamp are all included, and parts of the evening trails are lit with strings of lights. Skiers are given ski boots with the rental, while snowshoers wear their own waterproof shoes.
Dinner is part of the ticket: a stew or soup of the day with bread and a hot chocolate, eaten in the day lodge by the fireplace. The written review comes from a first-timer who tried cross-country skiing with the guide's help, so you do not need previous experience on skis or snowshoes to join. After dinner the group drives back down the highway to Canada Place.
The tour is rated 5.0 from 3 reviews and is guided in English and German. Winter clothing is not provided, so bring warm layers and a hat, and snowshoers need waterproof shoes. Overboots for added waterproofing are available for a small fee. Dates on sale for the 2026/27 season start on 28 December 2026, and free cancellation is available up to 24 hours in advance.

What Travelers Say
Rated 5.0/5 by 3 verified GetYourGuide travelers.
We had a wonderful evening with Jakob at Whistler Olympic Park. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about Vancouver, and it was so interesting to learn more about the city’s history on our way to the park. We were completely new to cross-country skiing, but had an amazing time trying out a new sport with Jakob’s guidance. We also enjoyed a lovely warm meal before heading back to Vancouver. Highly recommend this tour if you want to try cross-country skiing for the first time!
